Experienced Games Producer

Distinctive requires a remarkable, astute and well-organized individual with strong leadership skills to project manage a number of creative games projects and be part of the team that helps ensure they become successful commercial products.
You will be managing projects with a team size in the range of 3 to 18 people. You will need to be personable, enthusiastic, a great communicator and a meticulous planner with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

Managing a number of simultaneous small to medium sized projects from concept to completion.
Work with the team to track project progress.
Communicating project progress with external or internal clients.
Ensure tasks are completed and releases made to clients on time.
Leading and motivating a team through the highs and lows of a project.
Reporting of any project ‘road blocks’ to the directors.

    Qualifications

    Proven project management skills within the software industry.
    Capable of organizing themselves and a development team.
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    Experience of agile project management methodologies.
    Enthusiastic about mobile & tablet games.
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
    Experience of Hansoft an advantage.

    Senior Mobile Programmer

    You will be responsible assisting development of mobile games across iOS and Android devices to world-class quality levels. You will work with others within the development team to bring the game design to life. You will report directly to the project producer and Technical Director.

    Responsibilities

    Assisting other programmers across many projects to problem solve and deliver games of the highest standard.
    Help design and implement the company’s internal technology, tools and APIs.
    Evaluate and implement 3rd party technology into existing games.
    Working with the project producer and teams to estimate development tasks.
    Provide regular written reports of progress to the producer.
    Produce readable/maintainable code adhering to the company’s coding standards.
    Write technical design documentation.

    Qualifications

    10+ years of commercial games programming.
    Very strong C/C++ programming ability.
    Deep understanding of the iOS or Android platform.
    Experience of OpenGL graphics programming.
    Experience of writing vertex and fragment shaders.
    Strong mathematics skills.
    Knowledge of mobile GPU optimization an advantage.
    Knowledge of ARM VFP and NEON coding an advantage.
    Self-motivated and an eye for detail.
    Enthusiastic about the mobile games industry and it’s future.
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

    At least one published title commercially available.
    Very strong C/C++ programming ability.

    Experience of OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0 graphics programming.
    Self-motivated and an eye for detail.
    Enthusiastic about the mobile games industry and it’s future.
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
